Election Timeline
August 1, 2026
Nominations open for the position of Pickleball Club President.
Any active club member interested in running for President must submit a short biography to the Nominating Committee no later than August 15, 2026. This is the Deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS
The 2026 Nominating Committee consists of the following Advisory Committee members:
Mike Galeski
Kat Rucker
Joanna Spina
The Nominating Committee will compile all nominations and submitted bios to the following email address galeskimike1227@gmail.com and the committee will forward the bios to BlueStar, who will oversee and administer the election process.
BlueStar will distribute the official election email, including candidate bios, to all eligible club members.
Voting Schedule
Voting will begin on Monday, September 7, 2026, and conclude on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Election results will be communicated to the club membership within 24 hours following the close of voting.
Presidential Term and Officer Appointments
In accordance with the club bylaws:
Any active member of the club is eligible to run for President.
The term of office is one (1) year, running from November 1 through October 31.
There are no term limits for the office of President.
Once elected, the President shall appoint the following positions:
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Advisory Committee Members
Voting Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to vote in any election for the office of President, a member must:
A. Have maintained active membership in the club for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the election;
B. Be a member in good standing with both the club and BlueStar for no fewer than six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the election; and
C. Have no outstanding disciplinary actions, suspensions, or unpaid dues at the time ballots are issued.
Only members who meet all of the above criteria shall be entitled to receive a ballot and cast a vote in the election.
Communication Process
To ensure a fair, transparent, and impartial election process, once this announcement has been distributed, all questions, nominations, and election-related communications should be directed exclusively to the Nominating Committee.
